Kingfisher II

A year or more ago I did a colored pencil drawing of a Kingfisher.  I stated that I would do the same drawing a year later to see if my colored pencil skills had improved.  I did the drawing on the same type of paper, Strathmore 300 series white paper.  The colored pencils however were different.  The original drawing was completed with Primsacolor Premier, this drawing with Faber-Castell Polychromos.  I did also use a 6B lead pencil over the black Polychromos to get a deeper black.

One thing I have learned is to not do colored pencil drawings on white paper.  This will be my last.  I am keeping the reference material   and  may try again next year.
